Energy Deregulation
Many states are rewriting their regulations to increase competition in the natural gas and electric industries. The goal of the revisions is to allow consumers to choose from whom they buy their natural gas and electric power (as they can choose their long distance phone company). These changes have produced a need for industry-specific software applications and outsourced services to perform customer service, energy management, and billing and collections functions. To meet these needs, EnSite leveraged its extensive domain knowledge of energy, technology, and transaction management to create complete back office software applications and service offerings for energy companies and service providers.

EnSite Safari Suite®
EnSite’s hallmark application is EnSite Safari Suite® (“Safari”). Safari is a powerful multi-commodity, component-based software solution that manages the entire life cycle of the consumer. It is designed to enable growth, integration, and operating efficiency for energy companies and service providers through a scalable platform, a modular structure, and task automation. Safari provides access to information in one system to improve financial and operational decisions. It allows energy companies and service providers to reduce transaction costs, improve cash flow, preserve margins, and expand their business without expanding their staff.

The Suite includes modules for sales automation, customer relationship management, energy commodity management, contract documents and pricing, multi-commodity and service billing, tariff analysis and savings reporting, consumption monitoring, and accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections management.

Strategy
EnSite’s strategy is to maintain our vision and focus on energy transaction software and services. EnSite offers hosting and transaction management services using our Safari software. EnSite has also initiated the development of a customer self-help web interface to further expand our offerings in 2005. To improve our customers’ operating efficiencies, EnSite continues to interface and integrate with existing and proven wholesale, metering, electric balancing and settlement, and/or credit applications. In the future, we will diversify our customer base by adding new industry segments, such as fuel oil, water, and communications.

Converging Markets
EnSite’s current clients include retail energy marketers and energy service companies. EnSite, supported by its synergies with HunTel Systems, is positioned to benefit from on-going deregulation of energy markets and future convergence with telecommunications services.
