HunTel has been involved in the cable television
industry since the early 1980s. Today, HunTel CableVision serves more than 8,000
customers in 19 rural Nebraska communities.
History in Cable
HunTel was involved with building many cable television systems in the early
1980s. It used leading-edge technology to deliver quality entertainment to its
customer base. In fact, HunTel was the first company in Nebraska to construct a
cable system capable of providing 54 channels.
Until early 2000, HunTel CableVision served 1,100 customers in five rural
Nebraska communities. Then, opportunities developed that allowed HunTel
CableVision to complete the acquisition of several cable systems, comprising
more than 7,000 customers during 2000.
